David Morrison is President of Mercer Management Consulting. In his 20 years of consulting, Mr. Morrison has worked with leading companies in the electronics, computer hardware and software, information services, e-commerce, Internet, health care, telecommunications, and financial services industries.
In addition to co-authoring How Digital Is Your Business?, Mr. Morrison is co-author, with Adrian Slywotzky, of The Profit Zone: How Strategic Business Design Will Lead You to Tomorrow’s Profits (a 1998 Business Week “Top 10 Best” Business Book) and Profit Patterns: 30 Ways to Anticipate and Profit from Strategic Forces Reshaping Your Business (both Times Business/Random House). He has authored articles for the “Managers Journal” column of the Wall Street Journal and contributed to the development of the frameworks in Mr. Slywotzky’s best-selling book Value Migration.
An accomplished speaker, Mr. Morrison has been a lead presenter at The Conference Board’s Strategic Management, Marketing,and CFO Conferences in New York and Los Angeles. He has appeared as a guest on CNBC, the BBC, and CNNfn; been the keynote speaker at conferences for IDG, the NACDS, CFO Magazine, SAP Sapphire, and Ziff Davis Internet Nextravaganza; and frequently presents Mercer’s Value Growth, Business Design and e-Commerce frameworks at executive forums for large corporations.
Mr. Morrison holds a B.S.A.E. from the U.S. Naval Academy and served seven years in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Flight Officer. He earned an M.S.E. from Princeton, where he was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship, and graduated with high distinction from the Harvard Business School, where he was named a Baker scholar. |
