Yves Doz is the Timken Professor of Global Technology and Innovation at INSEAD. He was Associate Dean for Research and Development for five years (1990 - 1995). From 1990-1994 he held the John H.Loudon Chair in International Management. He spent the 1995-1996 academic year at the University of Stanford, California, as a Visiting Professor.
Yves Doz received his Doctoral degree from Harvard University and is a graduate of the Ecole Superieure des Hautes Etudes Commerciales, Paris.
Professor Doz was Director of the Management Technology and Innovation Programme at INSEAD, a multi-disciplinary effort involving 20 faculty members and researchers which ran from 1987 to 1994. He held the Timken Europe Fellowship from 1986 - 1989.
His business experience includes consulting for major multinational corporations, advising them on their internal development programmes. His assignments have included assisting in the reconstruction of the top management of both leading European and multinational companies and advising multinationals on the development of European strategies for various businesses. He also addresses the issue of building a decentralised network organisation and the role of information sharing: The new-form organisation - thriving on information. He is a founding partner of the Competitive Management Initiative which specialises in services to the information technology industry.
His research on the strategy of multinational companies, examining specifically high-technology industries, led to numerous publications. His research on the power systems and tele-communications equipment industries won the A.T. Kearney Award for Outstanding Research.
Professor Doz lectures on innovation management and entrepreneurship at every company level and is a much sought-after speaker at international management symposia throughout the world.
