Hirotaka Takeuchi's profile Hirotaka is dean of the Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo and a visiting professor at Harvard Business School.

His research interests are focused on: the knowledge creation process within organizations, competitiveness of Japanese firms in global industries, new product development process, and international corporate strategy. His business experience includes consulting at McKinsey and advertising at McCann Erickson in Tokyo and San Francisco. An April 1996 Fortune article introduced him as "among the intellectual leaders of the younger, globally-minded generation that is coming to power in Japan." His co-authored book, The Knowledge-Creating Company (Oxford University Press) won the "Best New Book of the Year" award in 1996.
