Mark Walton's profile Internationally known innovator, educator and advisor in the field of leadership, management and executive communication. His real-world expertise has been refined over a distinguished career of more than three decades at the highest levels of business, the media, the military and government.

During Vietnam, Mark was Media Advisor and Spokesman for the Secretary of the Navy and Chief of Naval Operations at the Pentagon in Washington. In 1980 he became a founding correspondent of Cable News Network (CNN) where, as Chief White House and Senior Correspondent, he was one of the most visible and respected reporters and anchormen in network news. He is a recipient of the communication industry's premier honors including the National Headliner Award, Ace Award, Ohio State Award and George Foster Peabody Award, for his role in CNN's live coverage of the Fall of Communism.

As CLC's founder and Chairman, Mark leads executive programs for key clients, speaks frequently at management conferences and retreats, teaches on the Advanced Management faculty of the Kenan-Flagler Graduate Business School at UNC-Chapel Hill, and is Professor of Leadership in the U.S. Navy's Advanced Management Program. He is the author of Generating Buy-In: Mastering the Language of Leadership, a landmark business book on the dynamics of influence in leadership, sales, marketing and courtroom law, published by the American Management Association.
