Spencer Johnson, M.D. is an international best-selling author whose books help millions of people discover simple truths they can use to have healthier lives with more success and less stress. Dr. Johnson is the creator and best-selling co-author of The One Minute Manager, which continues to appear on Business Best-seller Lists and has become the most popular management method in the world.
Dr. Johnson has written over two-dozen books dealing with medicine and the behavioral sciences, with more than 11 million copies in print in 26 languages. Dr. Johnson’s One Minute series includes: The One Minute Sales Person, The One Minute Mother, The One Minute Father, One Minute For Yourself, and The One Minute Teacher. His other best-selling books include: Yes or No, ValueTales children's books, The Precious Present and his latest book, Who Moved My Cheese?
His books have been featured often in the media, including CNN, The Today Show, The Larry King Show, Time Magazine, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, and United Press International.
Dr. Johnson received a B.A. degree in psychology from the University of Southern California, an M.D. degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and he served medical clerkships at Harvard Medical School and the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Johnson was Medical Director of Communications for Medtronic, the inventors of cardiac pacemakers; Research Physician at The Institute for Inter-Disciplinary Studies, a think tank; and Consultant to the Center for the Study of the Person, and to the School of Medicine, University of California.
