10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace

Brief description of 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace

Bestselling author and lecturer Wayne W. Dyer has written a thought-provoking book for those of us who have chosen to consciously be on our life path. The ten "secrets" for success and inner peace presented here apply whether you’re just embarking on your path, are nearing the end of it, or are on the path in any way. Dr. Dyer urges you to read these ten secrets with an open heart. By doing so, you’ll learn to feel the peace of God that truly defines success.

Dr. Dyer shares his view that we’re living in an age of spiritual deficiency. We have more than enough information in our society—it’s spirituality that’s lacking.

First and foremost, spiritually advanced people must have a "burning desire" to become as spiritually fulfilled as possible—even if they’re seen as running against the pack, or, as his spiritual mentor, Henry David Thoreau said, "marching to the beat of their own drummer."

Dr. Dyer’s ten principles include:

•Being open to everything and attached to nothing.

•Understanding that there are no justified resentments in life.

•Embracing silence, since meditation is the only way to truly come to know your Source.

•Knowing that you can’t solve a problem with the same mind that created it.

•Treating yourself as if you already are what you’d like to become.

Short and useful
i would like to confirm that im so not one of those self help weirdos who must have a book for every decision they make in life however.............the book is really good when youve a lot goin on in your life and helps you put things into perspective,it can be a bit dr phill at times but its really nice and realxing and you dont have to read it in one go,just whenever you need it pick a chapter. it flushes out all the negativity and brings you back to basics. perfect for stressful situations!!

positive cards
Beautiful cards with lovely positive sayings. We pick 2 every day and read them and make it our mantra for that day. I love these cards they are wonderful and they lift up your spirit with truth and understanding. lts sayings are so peaceful and full of enlightment. Worth all the money in the world because of what they offer in return.

Almost Great
I agree with almost everything in this book but I always have a problem with Mr. Dyer telling people to lose their identity aka ego. There is a difference between the two but he always seems to blend them together. Yes I do agree that we all need to become one but we ARE all different. We all have different personalities and body types for a reason. Being who we are physically doesn't mean ego is in the way. It's your actions based on your ego that can cause problems. I like the idea of having a sense of oneness amongst each other but I also like who I am physically. I like my interests, talents, and personality. I think that we are all individual yet can all come together as one spiritually. But do not lose yourself in the process. It's a matter of keeping your ego in check, not losing yourself along the way. If we were all the same personality wise then this would be a boring world and we'd have nothing to base our "lessons" on. Be your own individual self and let's all become one in spirit!

Really great
This book is great. It has pointed out 10 main points which everyone needs in life. Once I started reading, could not restrain myself to finish it. It helped me to organize my thoughts. I recommend everyone to read this book. Its short, handy and low weight so can be carried everywhere in hand or bag. I bought used one, but it was like new. Pages are well adorned with flowery pics, so good to see.

A beautiful book
This is the second time I have purchased this book, I gave away the first copy. It is so beautiful and sweet. It is packed with wonderful inspirational info. I use it for a little 'pick me up' whenever I need it. I would recommend it as a thoughtful gift or something nice for yourself!
