This book is outdated! This book is outdated. Not the information it contains--that is probably timeless. Rather, the book itself has been rewritten and expanded by the author into a more enlightening and more enjoyable book called Monday Morning Mentoring: Ten Lessons to Guide You Up the Ladder
I don't want to detract from the value of this book. It is filled with great insights and is an easy and enjoyable read. It's just that there is a much better book now available.
I was introduced to David Cottrell when I checked out "Monday Morning Mentoring" from my local library. Wanting to read more, I purchased "Monday Morning Leadership" from Amazon. I was a bit disheartened when this little (112 pages) paperback tumbled out of the box. My disappointment was complete, though, as I realized I had read it all before.
"Monday Morning Leadership" is a good book, but now it is nothing more than a first draft of "...Mentoring."
I might recommend this book if there were a large enough price difference and it mattered to you. (If you were buying a boatload for your office, for example.) Otherwise, "Monday Morning Mentoring" is the book you want.
Do not buy them both.
Great Book!! This is a great book with some new thoughts and ideas to use at the office.
Great management tool This small book is filled with great practical advice and suggestions for every manager or any one in a supervisory capacity. You won't put it down. Amazon is thebest place to find books at a great price. The book couldn't be found in the book stores anymore. I checked Amazon and a ton of them came up. The shipping was fast and the book in great condition. Thanks
