Comments by amazon customers about How to Get Into the Top MBA Programs

Quick and useful
The book is so useful if you want to write your essays in a hurry. It points out a lot of good points from the point of view of an admission director. You'll get a good idea about what they are looking for and what they don't care about.

Timeless...sort of
The book is a little outdated now, but the basics are still relevant. Learn how to reflect on your experiences and what makes you unique. Figure out how to craft your story. Find out some of the strengths and nuances about reputations from some of the schools. Warning, however...leave yourself ample time to put it all together. Good MBA applications require good thought and practiced execution.

Too much to digest
It's a very big book. Don't go for it if you're close to your application deadline. If you are still in the phase of considering an MBA to begin with it's a very good resource. Gives all the insight on why and when to take an MBA, and whether an MBA is right for you or not.

Best used with other resources, but if you can only get one, this is the book!
This book contains a wealth of information and can be overwhelming if trying to read from start to finish. However, it has some incredible insight and is best used in conjunction with other materials in order to develop your strategy. That being said, if you can only purchase one resource, this is the one.

Good Starter
This book is good if you are just starting to think on your MBA application. It is less helpful if you are on a rush to get it done. By the way I have mine almost new to sell.
