This stuff works! I am a big fan of Dan Kennedy & his partner in crime Bill Glazer so maybe I am biaised but this book continues the tradition of providing simple to understand, easy to implement strategies that get results. This book is no exception. I picked up this book and within minutes picked up an idea which I immediately applied to a situation which had been dragging and closed the sale. Whether you are new to sales or are an old hand like me this is a must read book. It will reenergize you.Get you to revisit what you are doing, remind you of the stuff you have forgotten and give you strategies that are proven and will give results.
Highly recommended.
No B.S. Sales Success Another great book from Dan Kennedy. Well worth the money and time to read. A must for anyone serious about selling as a career or training sales staff.
Great, But Re-gurgitated Information I do love Dan Kennedy, but I do not love the way he regurgitates, repackages and resells the same information over and over. There are four books of his that are basically interchangeable, in my opinion. (could be more, too)
1. No BS Sales Success
2. No BS Sales Success in the New Economy
3. No BS Business Success
4. No BS Business Success in the New Economy
If you have read one of these books, you have read them all. His information is sometimes dated, too. Like "the do not call list is going into effect,but not locked in rock as law." And some other little out of date tidbits.
He is a master of marketing, but it makes me angry that I buy his books expecting something new and not wanting to miss any little gems, then I just re-read the same stuff I already learned in his last book.
I recommend highly ONE of the above books, not ALL OF THEM.
Success in Sales Requires More Action Less Words Dan Kennedy presents 15 strategies that require effort along with some reflective thinking in order to achieve exceptional success in sales, persuasion and negotiations. A lot of people believe they write without a lot of superfluous words. In the case of this book, the strategies are direct and straight foreword.
Kennedy also includes within this book his 12 eternal truths specific to selling and business, a short index for quick reference, a chapter resource directory, some additional excerpts from other books and a summary of key strategies. By providing this additional information, the reader has the ability to quickly locate information specific to his or her needs.
Successful salespersons must understand how to walk between what I call "Sea Level" where you are engaged in the day to day activities and "See Level" where you must be at the 30,000 foot viewpoint. Both perspectives are absolutely essential in today's global sales marketing. Dan Kennedy provides ways for you to be able to bridge those two perspectives from his own unique viewpoint. Some of what you may read has not been said by others and some of it is often repeated using different words. This is a relative quick read and is appropriate for both the novice and experienced sales professional who wish to be The Red Jacket in a sea of gray suits
No BS Cutting Edge Sales Training! If you've read any of Dan Kennedy's books, then you know that they are entertaining, content-rich, and chalked full of actionable strategies to take your sales success to the next level. Read No B.S. Sales Success, then read No B.S. Time Management, then ready No B.S. ______ (You get the idea?)
Another excellent book for salespeople, entrepreneurs, and business owners to check out is "Cutting Edge Sales" by Jon Berghoff.
