 Millionaire Mind...convincing conclusions, but still relevant?
In The Millionaire Mind Thomas Stanley uses an exhaustive analysis of statistics to draw convincing conclusions about the characteristics of America's wealthy. Given that data and statistics are often misused, I was pleasantly surprised by the sophistication and disclosure of his analytical approach. Stanley's classification of high-income earners into Balance Sheet Affluent (BA) and Income Statement Affluent (IA) is particularly compelling as it lays bare the follies that likely bankrupt many in the recent economic downturn. Even so, this book is based on the central tendencies of domestically collected data and, thus, I am unsure of its relevance in an increasing global economy where many more transnational factors are at play.

Real page turner. Amazing Book.
The millionaire mind is a real page turner. I could not put the book down and finished it the same day I started it. Stanley takes us into the mind of over 1000 self-made millionaires, and what qualities they deemed to have contributed and been responsible for their success. Not only is the book informative, and destroys many misconceptions about how those who have amassed wealth live, it is also littered with inspirational quotes that have helped me in my own path of success.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book and would definitely read it again.
The Millionaire Mind is an insightful and fascinating book about the life and characteristics of America's Millionaires. It is based on an extensive research, backed by empirical data which were compiled and skillfully infer into a detailed and interesting book.
The topics range from the success factors of the millionaires to their school days experiences, and unique lifestyles. What do you know about millionaires? Well, most probably, your pre-conceived notions about them will be altered once you read through this book.
Supported by actual data the author collected from questionnaires as well as group interviews, millionaires are hardworking people who are extremely productive and love what they do. Some of the millionaires featured on the book are high school dropouts and their stories are simply inspiring.
What are the success factors of millionaires? The book points out several important factors. Yet, we often disregard them as something common and do not practice them. Some of the millionaires' success factors are getting along with people, having a competitive spirit, being honest, having a supportive spouse, loving ones' career, specializing and seeing opportunities others do not see.
