Most of the information needs updated I bought three book close to 3 years ago as a companion book of Tandy Gold's "Outsourcing Software Deelopment Offshore, Making it work", as recommended by Amazon. However, even when I were just received it 3 years ago, when I follow the links in the book, I saw most of those information related to China were outdated and the players were changing too fast. That was 3 years ago and not to say many things have been changed over these 3 years. I cannot speak for other countries like India, but I think this kind of book is more valuable be published as an annual directory that will be updated yearly and include some statistics tracked year over year and keeping up with the changes and local landscape. The reason I still give this book a 4 star is that there are not many book like this in the market and if you want to ignore directory books altogether and trying to do research by your own through google.com, it would be too much information and everyone is boasting their superior services and you can quickly get lost.
Terrible Bought this based on Amazon reviews. This book is a terrible collection of filler with no real information of any kind. Junk.

Consultants' Sales Pitch This book was written by two outsourcing consultants. While it has some useful information, the sales pitch (hire a consultant, hire a consultant, hire a consultant) is too much. The authors should have hired an editor. I bought their book. I would not hire them as consultants.
