As founder of Beckwith Advertising and Marketing, Harry Beckwith learned early on in his career that no matter what product is being sold, the most important component of the sale is you. Here Beckwith teams up with his wife, motivational speaker and former sales executive Christine Clifford Beckwith, to provide tips, anecdotes, and insights based on their 30 years of selling experience. Written in a traditional homespun style, the Beckwiths offer doses of humor and practical knowledge to anyone who wants to learn how to seal the deal and thrive in business.

It's Simple: Hands down, the best book for Salespeople that I've ever read It's pretty simple, when I was managing a sales team, and I hired a new candidate, I would give them a copy of You Inc and tell them their first assignment was to read and digest everything in that book before they do anything else. If there is a "bible" on sales, its Harry Beckwith's masterpiece You Inc. Buy it if you're in ANY kind of sales (and, aren't we all in some way/shape/form?) and you will thank the author for writing it!

Great little book on sales "life lessons" This book sparked my interest and I was not disappointed. It isn't that big of a book, so you can probably read it in less than a week. I have been wanting to learn more about sales and selling and this book seems to be a good projection of the field. The little chapters in the book are more like blog posts. It goes over an important point and concept and explains it with a story sometimes. I had quite a few "aha" moments about presenting yourself or really thinking about how you do things to stand out from the crowd.
For knowing nothing about sales, this was a great launching pad for me to get more interested and read other sales books. Pretty motivational with great bits of information to redefine how you see the world. This book has definitely shifted my approach to "getting out there" making myself more visible.
Good stuff! Like most Harry Beckwith books (there are four), this is a good read. Mostly, it's things you know...but, don't act on in the day-to-day course of doing business.
Superb Practical Advice for Achieving Professional Success Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R5UA66IAZRFIJ Yes, admittedly there are many books around that tell us how to succeed. What makes this one special? Because the authors have worked with hundreds of corporations, so they know first hand the ingredients necessary for making it to the top.
You, Inc. has many good points, which this video mentions--such as short segments designed for the busy reader, plain and direct language, and tips that will benefit you directly in your professional growth.
Readers will enjoy this book, and benefit from it. Their clients will benefit as well.
The Complete Communicator: Change Your Communication-change Your Life!
Review of You, Inc The book You Inc, offers some good ideas on how to market yourself. Many of the ideas I heard before but the book reinforces thoughts that I discovered over the years. I enjoyed the book and found it to be entertaining and will use it as a personal reference.
I though the book is good enough to keep or pass on to friends or family in need of inspiration.
