Strategies for winning the subtle social game of everyday life—from the bestselling author of The 48 Laws of Power and The Art of Seduction Robert Greene’s first two groundbreaking guides, The 48 Laws of Power and The Art of Seduction, espouse profound, timeless lessons from events in history to help readers vanquish an enemy or ensnare an unsuspecting victim. Now, with The 33 Strategies of War, Greene has crafted an important new addition to this ruthlessly unique series. Structured in Greene’s trademark style, The 33 Strategies of War is a brilliant distillation of the strategies of battle that can help us gain mastery in the modern world. It is the I Ching of conflict, the contemporary companion to Sun-tzu’s Art of War.

very good read I ran across this book by accident. Killing time in the bookstore and picked it up.
It was compelling from the 1st glance. I love the historical references. He uses examples from military history, but he also includes stories from people that have excelled in their chosen professions. Alfred Hitchcock, Muhammad Ali, Roosevelt.
This book has applications anyone that has to deal with other people can use everyday. Office politics can cause a great deal of stress, this book gives you tools to handle the situations we are all faced with.
Very good book. Packed full of good info.

This book gives a really well written exemplification for the essence of human nature, strategy, and history. A very nice thick book. There are no negatives to be said about The 33 Strategies of War. I think it is a lot of hard work put onto paper and anyone who buys it, I highly recommend putting extra effort into absorbing every sentence for a truly amazing transformation of perspective. A very thought out and well planned book, it's almost perfect, if not one-hundred percent.

The 33 Strategies of War It is an excellent book on war strategies. It briefly but comprehensively throws light on 33 strategies of contemporary wars. I recommend it for reading by the students of strategy. Ehsan Khan
An informative read for anyone who deals with conflict in life. As a reader of Greene's website for some time, I was familiar with his work from the site. Reading this book, however, causes me to appreciate his insight into picking out themes of warfare and strategy throughout history. Looking at figures like T.E. Lawrence, Napoleon and Genghis Khan, he shows how successful military commanders used basic concepts to defeat their opponents. In addition, he takes these military concepts and applies them to life, whether office politics or relationships. As a student of history, this book is an excellent read.
Just had to reacquire it After giving my first bought copy of this book on gift, found myself without permanent source of strategic wisdom or advice, therefore I ordered my 2nd copy (English edition) for Xmas.
I think the author has a very remarkable skill to research, analyze and extract the very scent of human thinking based on historical facts. Furthermore, the way he presents every law with examples of those who followed, those who felt, an explanation and the anti-strategy, makes his work brilliant on one side and a practical manual on another.
