Specific, relevant tips delivered in Suze's trademark no-nonsense style Let's face it: If common-sense Suze Orman was in charge, the country would likely be in a lot better shape. She serves up plenty of tough love in her latest book, which launches with an overview of how we got into our current economic mess, which she says is the fall-out of "a wild, drunken party of dishonesty and greed on a national scale." Yep.
This book comprises scores of helpful Q&As, with advice that is specific to this moment in time. Can paying just the minimum due on your credit card hurt your credit score? (Yes, now it can.) Are your FDIC-insured accounts still safe? (Yes, not to worry.)
This timely book covers new IRS rules and other changes. Orman even includes red flags to put readers on the alert about specific rules that are likely to be revised in 2009 and beyond, directing us to her Web site (or other resources) so we can stay abreast of the likely changes.
Small Book, Big Action This small book makes you take actions which are absolutely inevitable for your life.
It's amazing. This book opens up eyes, even if you don't know ABC about banks, stock market, finance, trust, will, etc...Otherwise, you will be working everyday for your whole life without any purpose and planning.
She was right about 2009, so I'll trust the 2010 Action Plan. After re-reading the 2009 Action Plan, I realize she was right about most (maybe all). We appreciate the help. Over the years, we've had to TRY to figure things out ourselves. We've had some successess, but we've been confused, stressed and worried about what to do -- real estate, investments, planning for retirement, etc.. We'll still continue to figure things out ourselves, but we'll refer to her Action Plan and strongly consider her advice.
A Good Book for Doing the Right Financial Thing Suze Orman lists financial situations and offers good solutions. The economy and markets have confused and worried most people. When you find yourself between a budgetary rock and a hard place Suze finds you a way to squeeze out. Financial education is crucial to everyone's survival, and women in particular need to get more financially aware. I have co-authored a guide that contains more personal money management information for women, Women Empowering Themselves: A Financial Survival Guide - For Women at Risk of Drowning Financially Before, During and After Divorce
2009 Action Plan Saw on Oprah show with Suze Orman and Oprah. Suze writes excellent financial advice which is usually right on the money. I watch her regularly on her TV show.
